<br/><br/> The curriculum described in Foundation for the Atlantic Canada<br/>Science Curriculum was planned and developed collaboratively by<br/>regional committees. The process for developing the common science<br/>curriculum for Atlantic Canada involved regional consultation with the<br/>stakeholders in the education system in each Atlantic province. The<br/>Atlantic Canada science curriculum is consistent with the science<br/>framework described in the pan-Canadian Common Framework of<br/>Science Learning Outcomes K to 12.<br/>The development of these curricula involved further revision of the<br/>Atlantic Canada Science Curriculum for Biology 11 and Biology 12,<br/>in consultation with educators in New Brunswick over a 3-year period<br/>(as listed in the Acknowledgements).
